Make a Website in 2 Weeks
I was really nervous about making
this site. I didn't know how, and didn't have anybody to teach me.
Well, after several late nights over less than a week it's almost ready.
Not "finished," but good enough to share. Thanks for letting your
neighbor hog your computer Tara and Kevin (& Corey, Shay, and little
Maeve)!
The library had a ton of books. Sams
Teach Yourself to Create Web Pages in 24 Hours (not in a row!) was
helpful. We used the Netscape Composer and PaintShop Pro that came
with that book, with a bit of looking at the secret HTML codes, and a lot
of flipping back and forth in the books.
Resist
in Canada: helped with hosting and web based tutorials
Gandi.net:
does non-profit Domain Name registration
Riseup.net
does tech-work with two-thirds world groups. Their site told me where
I could go. (In a helpful way.)
Radical
Designs: our friend David can design your non-profit/activist
site with you. Pay him lots of money, he deserves it.
(Let us know if you want to hear when zines,
comics, and the book comes out.)
(Tell Bruce to set up a Baby Bloc email list
eh?)

I want to go home!
